Fan Mail for the
"Living with HIV" Website

All of our recent "fan mail" is now posted on our Yahoo (TheMonthlySocial) group.  We keep this page here to show off our "pre-Yahoo" fan mail.  Even though the mail here is from several years past, rest assured that the socials are still going strong here in 2008, and are as popular as ever!

Fan Mail for the Monthly Social:

Written to a local poz Yahoo group Sat. 19 JUL 2003 1:36:42 PM, under the Subject header: First Social Attended

Hello All,
I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who made
me feel so comfortable at the barbecue social last
saturday. I sort of felt as if I "Belonged" and
people "understood". Especially when my alarm went off
for me to take my meds. LOL
I look forward to the next one, should I be in town
and not in some other country on a business trip.
Thanks,
Mike

One young man from Phoenix, Arizona read of the Monthly Socials on AOL and flew in to DC to sample it:

>be doing my best to come back and visit the DC area. I think it is great that

[Editorial note: The above personal reaction does not fit all people at all stages of their learning to deal with living with HIV. We consider that he graduated from one stage and entered another. We too have our graduates and returning alumni.]
